A generational impact…
Unicef Director Cathrine Russell was asked by host, Margaret Brennan, to describe the “generational impact” of the war on Gaza, Sunday on Face the Nation.
Her response:
The impact on those children as they grow up — even on their children— it is an impact so profound because of the stress they are living under, it’s bound to affect them for the rest of their lives.
The death toll of children in Gaza is "staggering"
"We haven't seen that rate of death among children in almost any other conflict in the world.”

Netanyahu has damaged Israel much more than Hamas. Hamas couldn’t get the world to hate Israel, but Netanyahu has. I’ve never seen one person do this much damage to a country’s reputation. Is the world supposed to love Israel after Gaza? Can you not see why people are horrified? — X

My comment on Face The Nation's X post:
I'm glad @unicefchief is talking about generational trauma caused by war. But the number one perpetrator of childhood trauma right now is Israel and its genocidal attack on the Palestinians, particularly on the children of Gaza. The attack is even extended to the murder of Unicef workers and the UN's own relief organization. Why not name them?
