“I’M NOT JOE BIDEN” Prove it. Please.
With just two weeks left until the election, Vice President Harris still won’t clearly say what she’ll do differently from Biden to end the U.S. taxpayer-funded slaughter of Gaza’s civilian population. Every poll shows the American people want a ceasefire now. — Podcast
Kamala Harris responded to a protester charging genocide.
"Look, what he's talking about, it's real. That's not the subject that I came to discuss today, but it's real. And I respect his voice," she added, before returning to her prepared remarks. — Fox News
Then her pro-Israel supporters tried to walk it back…
“At no point did she agree with the protester’s statement that there is ‘genocide’ in Gaza,” the group added on X. — Times of Israel
Reham (not her real name)
“My baby was forced to wean,” says a 21-year-old mother originally from Gaza City. Unable to breastfeed her 10-month-old son due to her malnourishment, she says caring for him under constant threat has felt exhausting. Reham and her husband were displaced to the south when she was seven months pregnant. “We had to flee right in the middle of the bombing. It was terrifying.” – Haaretz
John Legend
Legend tells Mehdi what Harris needs to do to win votes in swing states like Michigan, to the dehumanization of Palestinian children, to why more people in Hollywood aren’t speaking out the way he is now.
“They've seen people lose their agent or lose jobs from it,” Legend tells Mehdi, in a rather blunt exchange. “They're afraid they'll suffer professional consequences.” He also shares why he’s choosing to be vocal and isn’t scared of being “punished”. — Zeteo
D.T.
There’s no bottom on the Trump campaign. He tells his cult members in Pennsylvania how much he admired golfer Arnold Palmer’s genitalia. “When he took the showers with other pros, they came out of there. They said, ‘Oh my God. That’s unbelievable.” — Daily Beast
Central Park 5 sues D.T.
“Defendant Trump’s statements were false and defamatory in numerous respects,” attorneys for the men, now all in their 50s, wrote in the lawsuit. — CNN
I voted this morning.
It was purely an existential act born of habit. My vote means little here in Chicago. Harris/Walz will easily carry Illinois and there weren’t any down-ticket races. It’s really only in a few battleground states where voters can have some impact. I’m writing this now because I think we’ve pushed Harris about as far as she is willing to go on ending her support for the Israeli genocide in Gaza. (See her quotes above).
No matter who wins the election, Harris or Trump, I’m hoping that we will be out in the streets the day after, demanding an arms embargo against Israel and moving against the emerging fascist threat globally and here at home.
A luta continua.
Hey you didn’t say who exactly you voted for!
Well we are voting for Hind Rajab, you couldn’t possibly be voting for the same person could you?
