U.S. is secretly sending more than missiles into Ukraine
Country awash with CIA and 'dozens of commandos'
Few other details have emerged about what the C.I.A. personnel or the commandos are doing, but their presence in the country — on top of the diplomatic staff who returned after Russia gave up its siege of Kyiv — hints at the scale of the secretive effort to assist Ukraine that is underway and the risks that Washington and its allies are taking. — New York Times
What began as a popular war of resistance to the Russian invasion of Ukraine has evolved mainly into a no-win war of attrition between Russia and the US and its NATO allies. At a recent news conference, Gen. Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, called it a "very severe battle of attrition, almost World War I-like."
While up until now, we’ve heard only of the tons of western missiles, planes, and weaponry being shipped into the war zone. But there are now reports that Ukraine is awash in CIA personnel and direct involvement of dozens of NATO commando units, US special forces, and mercenaries.
According to the Times:
But even as the Biden administration has declared it will not deploy American troops to Ukraine, some C.I.A. personnel have continued to operate in the country secretly.
The Times reports that shortly after Russia invaded Ukraine in February, the Army’s 10th Special Forces Group, which before the war had been training Ukrainian commandos at a base in the country’s west, secretly established a “planning cell” called Grey Wolf in Germany to coordinate military assistance to Ukrainian commandos and other Ukrainian troops.
Few other details have emerged about what the C.I.A. personnel or the commandos are doing in Ukraine, but their presence in the country carries with it the risk of escalation of the war to new and dangerous levels.
Perhaps you can also pass around the coordinates where they are located.
Not surprising... the more we know the more we don't know.
