That we still need a federal anti-lynching law in 2022 is appalling.
Passes after 200 failed attempts...

First, I’m amazed that the Emmett Till Anti-Lynching Bill made it through Congress and was signed into law yesterday by President Biden. It only took 120 years and 200 failed attempts. Thanks to our Congressman Bobby Rush for championing the bill and to VP Kamala Harris for sponsoring it.
I suppose those same Republicans who’ve been blocking the passage of a badly-needed voting-rights bill, were too embarrassed to vote NO this time around (except for 3 of them: Andrew S. Clyde (Ga.), Thomas Massie (Ky.), and Chip Roy (Tex.) ) who apparently aren’t capable of feeling shame.
Secondly, I am left with deep feelings of anger and dismay over the realization that in the year 2022, this country, which claims leadership of the New World Order, still needs a new federal law against lynching.

"If you look at some of the people that we've been hiring as a contributor, being able to make sure we have access to both sides of the aisle is a priority because we know the Republicans will take over, most likely in the midterms," Khemlani told the staff. it's a show— still i guess it may show a trend, though lynching won't stop as long as the hateful racist system persists.
