Florida's new poster boy
Baio wants to move somewhere safe with no graffiti or 'defecating' homeless people.
Look who the MAGAs have dredged up to become the new poster boy for Ron DeSantis’ Florida. It’s none other than Scott Baio. Remember him? Me neither.
But he did play Chachi on Happy Days back in the ‘70s and now he’s all over Fox and right-wing media telling us that he’s leaving California for Florida’s greener pastures because “it’s clean” and there are no homeless people “defecating on the sidewalk,” and “no crime or graffiti” like in Democratic-controlled states.
“It’s what America was like 50 years ago,” says Baio. — Fox
Yes, 50 years ago, back when African-Americans in Florida and other southern states had to ride in the back of the bus and attend segregated schools.

According to the Florida Coalition to End Homelessness, Florida currently has the 3rd largest homeless population in the U.S. and is currently facing a severe affordable housing crisis. Florida also has the 3rd highest crime rate and a higher homicide rate than either California or New York.
If Chachi really wants to be safe, he should move to Bernie Sanders’ Vermont or Democratic Maine and avoid Republican states like:
Louisiana: Violent crime rate of 537.5 per 100,000 people, making it the most dangerous.
Mississippi: 413.2 violent crimes per 100,000 people.
Alaska: Despite a low population, a high 386.2 violent crimes per 100,000 people.
Arkansas: Violent crime rate of 385.9 per 100,000 people.
New Mexico: 369.5 incidents of violence per 100,000 people.
...and will Haitian refugees get the same treatment as Cubans in FL? I doubt it.
