'Broadview 6' Grand Jury Transcripts
A juror called the indictment a 'crock of shit.' So they dumped him.
If you want to see the lengths that Trump’s prosecutors went in order to send six Chicago peaceful anti-ICE protesters to prison, you can now read the just-released government-incriminating grand jury transcripts.
Among other things, the transcripts show that the first grand jury refused to return an indictment, leading to the convening of a second panel on Oct. 16. That session ended abruptly after jurors were kicked out, and no vote was taken.
On Oct. 23, U.S. Attorney Andrew Boutros went before the same grand jury, introduced himself as the U.S. attorney, and told the panel they had an important “constitutional” function to play in the judicial system, according to a transcript provided in an unusual report released by Boutros.
For the inside story on how all this played out, you can listen to my interview with two of the defendants, Michael Rabbitt and Joselyn Walsh, on Friday’s edition of Hitting Left (Below)
