MAGAs are claiming fire smoke is "natural", and won't make you cough... It's all a left-wing conspiracy.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has obviously not been watching Laura Ingraham on Fox News. If they had, and if they weren’t so woke, they would have learned that inhaling smoke and particulates from the Canadian wildfires is actually harmless and maybe even good for you.
Ingrahm even brought on an “expert”, Steve Milloy from the so-called Advancement of Sound Science Coalition (TASSC), to explain that all this fuss about inhaling smoke and climate change is part of the left-wing, environmentalist conspiracy to put more clamps on big business.
Says Milloy:
“This doesn’t kill anybody, it doesn’t make anybody cough, this is not a health event,” he added, contradicting public health experts and basic common sense. “This has got nothing to do with climate. This is wildfire smoke. This is natural. This is not because of climate change. This is not because of fossil fuels.”
It turns out that Milloy and TASSC have been fronting for the tobacco industry and other polluting companies like chemical giant Syngenta, its weed-killer “atrazine” for years.
Greg Kelly on Newsmax: “But it is pretty, it actually is pretty. It’s a beautiful, interesting aura the city has right now.”
Greg Kelly on Newsmax blamed it on “our woke friends to the north,” before describing the smoke as “manageable,” “not an unpleasant odor,” and “a beautiful, interesting aura.”
Ignoring the likes of Kelly, Milloy, and Ingraham (thank goodness), the WHO has come out with its own report making a clear connection between the fires and climate change and warning that they can cause death & injury from suffocation, burns & smoke inhalation.

Absolutely the worst take on the environment comes from the far-right Heritage Foundation which blames the pollution problem on — you guessed it — trashy immigrants.
According to HF’s Daily Signal:
It is estimated that each illegal alien leaves behind 6 to 8 pounds of trash on the U.S. side of the border. Multiply that by the more than 1.4 million who have entered the nation along the southern land border since October of last year, and you’ve got a whopping 9 million pounds of garbage.
The borderlands are biologically rich and home to thousands of different mammals, insects, and vegetation. Ignoring the environmental consequences of mass illegal immigration will only exacerbate their already perilous status.
Yes, those immigrants drink from plastic water bottles, ride in fuel-driven vehicles, flush toilets, and eat Big Macs. Not like real Americans.
