Biden blasts Israel for using those horrible weapons he sent them.
To the people in this country who want something better than Biden vs. Trump, Hillary scolds: "Get over yourselves."
Day 180… The death toll in Gaza has surpassed 32,900, mostly women and children, according to the Health Ministry. Another 75,000 people have been reported injured. Thousands more are dying from untreated illness or starvation. The Israeli military said at least 256 soldiers have been killed since the ground invasion of Gaza began.
“I don't think it was a very wise statement on her part. How did that work out for her in 2016? — Stephen A. Smith on ESPN
The Worst Quote of the Week Award obviously goes to one of the worst people ever. Just mentioning Hillary Clinton’s name still conjures up those damn memories of her 2016 loss to Trump when she and her team (uhh) forgot to campaign in key battleground states and then blamed their loss on the Russians. When asked by Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon about the millions of voters (especially young Democrats) who are searching for an alternative to a Trump/Biden match-up in November, Hillary struck her lady-superior pose and sneered, “Get over yourselves.”
It was back in November when she applauded Biden for his opposition to a ceasefire and prisoner swap. She claimed that a temporary pause in the killing would help Hamas to regroup and rearm and that those who supported a ceasefire were “ignorant.”
There’s absolutely no reason for voters to “get over themselves.” The ripples caused by anti-war, independent voter movements in Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and here in Illinois, have already put some fear in Democratic hearts and caused a shift in the party line, forcing Biden to adjust and reposition himself in a more critical light vis-a-vis the Netanyahu gang in Tel Aviv.
But calling for a ceasefire and doing a little hand-wringing over civilian deaths won’t cut it. There must be a clean break from pro-genocide Dems like Hillary Clinton if Biden is to have any chance at winning in November.
This headline in today’s WaPo says it all.
As the rest of the world reacts in horror at the latest Israeli war crime, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claims that the killing of 7 World Central Kitchen aid workers was “accidental.” His military chief, Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi, says it was all the result of a “grave mistake,” of “misidentification” in complex conditions. This, even though the latest reports show that the vehicles were hit by three separate precision missile strikes.
Halevi originally claimed there was a “terrorist” riding in the truck carrying the aid workers, as if that, even if true, would have justified the murderous attack. The point is that his “terrorist” story proves that the missile attack on the aid vehicles was intentional. The U.S.-based nonprofit WCK, founded by celebrity chef José Andrés, said its team was traveling in two armored cars bearing its logo and had coordinated its movements with the Israeli military. So that rules out any “misidentification.”
Nearly 200 humanitarian aid workers from several countries have so far been targeted and killed by Israeli forces since the current war on Gaza began on October 7th. The situation remains dire, especially in northern Gaza, where much of the population is on the brink of starvation. Cyprus now says its ships carrying some 240 tons of food were turning back after the incident.

They didn’t just die.
More than 32,900 people have died in Gaza since the war began, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry. — NBC News
Two things about this NBC News story. First, kudos to NBC for reporting the death toll in Gaza without the required prefacing of the only viable source, the Gaza Health Ministry with “Hamas-controlled.” Let’s hope you don’t get in trouble with the watchers.
On the other hand, NBC journalists still need to learn how to escape the misleading and deadly passive voice; i.e., “32,900 people have died.” There’s a big difference between someone dying and someone being bombed or starved to death.

It looks like open season on foreign embassies and consulates from here on out.
Iran has vowed retaliation after an Israeli airstrike destroyed the Iranian Consulate in Syria and killed at least six people, including a senior military commander. The Biden administration communicated directly to Iran, claiming that the US didn’t know about the strike and wasn’t involved in any way, two U.S. officials told NBC News.
